Really funny book
My friend has a new book out and it's really, really funny. I went to the book release party on Tuesday and he did a reading and it was hilarious. If you're looking for a read that will deliver a lot of laughs this summer, I highly recommend checking it out.
It's called You're a Miserable Excuse for a Hero and it's in the style of those Choose Your Own Adventure books we used to read in grade school, but it's written to someone in his early thirties who's "done everything [he] can to commit to nothing for fear of limiting [his] options."
There are 30-some-odd possible endings and it's hysterical. The author, Bob Powers, is one of my favorite writers and is the guy behind Happy Cruelty Day! Daily Celebrations of Quiet Desperation.
Happy June, everyone!
P.S., here are links to the book at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
